Islamabad is called the "city of flowers" because, in addition to being the capital, this city is the cleanest in Pakistan. The first time I came to Islamabad for the purpose of studying, the house from which we lived was located on the edge of a forest. a forest where monkeys and pigs are found in abundance, and many times they also go to the nearby houses. Yes, I am talking about one of the most beautiful and expensive buildings in Sector E-7, located at the end of Islamabad.


I put the stuff in the room and went up to the roof to see the forest. On one side, the beautiful city of Islamabad, and on the other, a vast forest that stretches across the mountains to Abbottabad, add to the beauty of Islamabad and make its atmosphere fresh and pleasant. For a while I thought that I didn't know how life would go here, and then I returned to my room. Well, the next day we had planned to meet in Islamabad to break my heart, console me, and remove the sadness of being away from my family.
As there were still two days left before the start of the studies, after having tea early in the morning, we left our residence and visited various places of entertainment, which are mentioned below.

1. Faisal Masjid

Since Faisal Masjid is also located in Sector E/7, we visited it first due to its proximity to our residence. Faisal Mosque is the largest mosque in Pakistan and is ranked sixth in the world. Up to 120,000 worshippers can pray here at a time; however, the capacity may be limited for events such as weddings, conferences, and other functions. It is always important to follow local guidelines and regulations regarding crowd sizes and social distancing to ensure the safety and well-being of all in attendance.

Faisal Masjid is a gift of the Saudi government to Pakistan and was built with Saudi cooperation. Faisal Mosque was named after the then-King Shah Faisal. The Faisal Mosque is a masterpiece of Islamic architecture that leaves the beholder in awe and delight at first glance. In its construction, high-quality imported stone has been used. There is an open space around Faisal Masjid where visitors sit and enjoy drinks, etc. On entering the mosque, you will find a map of the mosque, which was prepared before the mosque was built and is now preserved here.

A little further, you will see a clear water pool, which adds to the beauty of the mosque, and sixty steps leading up to the main hall of the mosque. As soon as you reach the top, you will see a beautiful view. In the hall of the mosque, a place has been made for women. The entire hall has a red carpet on the floor. In the middle of the hall, there is a beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling above, which is decorated with charming lights. There are samples of Quranic verses written in different calligraphy at various places throughout the mosque. Outside the hall, there is a library in Faisal Masjid, which has a collection of all kinds of books. There is also a shop downstairs where you can do some small shopping.

2. Daman Koh 



The Daman Koh range, right in the middle of Mount Margalla, is a great place to visit Islamabad. It is built at a height of about 2400 feet above sea level and about 500 feet above the city of Islamabad. It has become a popular entertainment spot for residents of the capital as well as visitors. Monkeys and peacocks are commonly seen here in the winter. Leopards often come down from the high hills of Murree during snowfall.

From Daman Koh, you can see the entire city of Islamabad. You can also use binoculars while viewing. 
Daman Koh is the best place for a newly married couple. When going to Daman Koh, you must take water and food with you; this way you will be comfortable. Although there are some food and drink items available there, their prices are high.

3. Pakistan Monument



Pakistan Monument is located near Zero Point on one side of the road leading to Faisal Masjid. As soon as you enter inside, you will see a building on the front side that consists of three parts. It was designed to symbolise and celebrate the country's independence and cultural heritage. 

The monument is shaped like a blooming flower and consists of four petals representing the four provinces of Pakistan (Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh) and three minarets representing three regions (Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Federation of Pakistan). At the centre of the monument is a museum that houses artefacts and exhibits related to the history and culture of Pakistan. The monument is a popular tourist attraction and is often used as a backdrop for national events and celebrations.

4. Lok Virsa Museum


Lok Virsa Museum is a cultural museum located in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. It was established in 1974 with the aim of preserving and showcasing the cultural heritage of Pakistan. The museum houses a collection of artifacts, manuscripts, and other objects that represent the diverse cultures and traditions of Pakistan. 

The museum also features exhibits on the history of Pakistan, including its independence movement and the development of its cultural identity. In addition to its exhibits, the museum also hosts cultural events, such as concerts, festivals, and workshops, which are open to the public. It is a popular tourist attraction and a great place to learn about the rich culture and history of Pakistan.

5. Lake View Park



Lakeview Park is a popular recreational spot located in the city of Islamabad, Pakistan. The park is situated on the banks of Rawal Lake, a man-made reservoir that provides a beautiful backdrop for the park. One of the main attractions of Lakeview Park is its beautiful landscaped gardens, which are home to a variety of plants and flowers. Marghzar Park is a public park located on the way to Daman-e-Koh. The park is named after the Marghzar village, which was located on the site before the city of Islamabad was developed. It is located near the Faisal Masque and is a popular spot for recreational activities such as walking, jogging, and picnicking. 
The park has a number of amenities, including a children's play area, a jogging track, and several ponds stocked with fish. It is also home to a number of species of birds, making it a popular spot for birdwatching. The park is well-maintained and a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

7. Saidpur Village 



Saidpur Village is a heritage village located in the heart of Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. It was originally a small village founded by the Gakhar tribes in the 16th century and was later developed into a residential area by the government in the 1970s. The village has been preserved and renovated to showcase the traditional architecture, culture, and way of life of the Gakhar people. Visitors can explore the narrow lanes, traditional houses, and handicraft shops in the village and learn about the history and culture of the region. 8. Jinnah Super Market

9. Centaurus

These were the "Top 10 beautiful places in Islamabad" that we visited. And so before the study started, we first visited Islamabad and our heart was set there and then the series of lessons began which continued till the end of the year.
